February Meeting Minutes


Called to order at 6:33pm

Present were:  Steve Menefee, Wendy Burnett, Renetta Pollock, Donna Weatherly, Amy Fox, Becky Cleator, Joy Born, Lisa Drinkwater

Last months minutes were read and approved by Renetta Pollock and seconded by Amy Fox.

Directors Report:   Basketball season is over for the band, it went very well.  The solo ensemble went very well also.  As for the trip to Disneyland in June of 2017, we will be using Lake City Travel and it will cost approximately $825 per person.

Treasurers Report:  All of the Haggen gift cards have been sold, but we have a lot of the Fred Meyer gift cards available.  We received a check from the Whatcom Community Foundation in the amount of $5,079.48, which is a bit more than previous checks.

Uniforms:  6 new dresses have been ordered and Amy is working on hemming the dresses we have.

Communications:  Nothing to report

See Chocolates:  All of the money has been turned in.

Spring Trinkets and Treasures:  Cascades group will be setting up the hotdog stand again.  Deanna Kaech will run the garage sale and Amy Fox and Renetta Pollock with run the bake sale.  The mattress sale will run until 5pm and the Trinkets and Treasures will run until 3pm.  There will be a flyer created to share with family and friends.  Items for the garage sale can be brought the night before the sale.

Butterbraids:  Butterbraid orders will be send home with week of

February 22nd and will be due back on March 8th.    They will be in around the week of March 21st.  An email will be sent out with the exact date.

Disneyland:  There will be an intent to go form created and handed out to each of the kids to see how many are planning on going.  The cost will be approximately $825.   Kids will have to bring additional money for 5-6 meals and spending money.  The cost of the trip covers 1 dinner and 3 breakfasts.

Car Wash:  It was suggested that their be a car wash this summer to help raise money for Disneyland.  It was suggested that this be in early August before band camp starts.  Is anyone interested in helping with this fundraiser?
